Il Gattopardo Restaurant, New York, New York
Winner: Award of Merit, Illuminating Engineering Society of North America
Keenen/Riley Architects

The lighting approach for this award winning, clean-lined restaurant, located opposite the Museum of Modern art, was based on creating an environment that would not cause unflattering shadows while the guests dined. An indirect lighting scheme was used and is concealed within various architectural elements, such as the withing the coffers, behind the mirror and behind the drapery.
